    shipping ammo`

    evening gents

    i'm about to put a huge amount of stuff up for sale.

    today, i went to the ups store with 225rounds of frenh 7.5 ammo boxed up. the UPS lady said she couldnt ship it.

    this is... not correct as i've gotten ammo shipped via ups loads of time to my house. however, are the rules different if you're the shipper?

    i hope this woman just didnt know what she was talking about?

      I fig'd as long as you had the ORD-M sticker you're good. I've shipped a handful of .223 and was fine

      Maybe just do the self checkout one where you weigh it yourself and then throw it in the chute?

          You have to go to a UPS shipping center not the UPS store.

                      Even at the hubs they don't always know the rules. If you have on the right stickers and they give you any guff have them call the internal UPS hazardous materials #. 1-800-554-9964.

                      You can also call them to verify everything before you head over there.

                      PS I've found just the phrase "Please call the UPS hazardous materials line" to be enough to get them to go into the back room and ask their supervisor what the rules are.

                                      It's riskier that you'll get a driver that knows the rules versus the people working at the hub. If you live a long way from a hub it might be worth a try.
